Eastern Prussia, Summer 1945. In an old castle on the outskirts of a town there have been found Nazi drawings and boxes with items. The commandant of the military post, major Yashin, reports to Moscow on the discovery. Shortly, KGB officers come to examine the found documents which, as it turned out, displayed a detailed plan of V-2 rocket installation. But the boxes with the rocket items are stolen, and soon two Soviet engineers disappear. The troop sent to find them is totally eliminated by the Nazi snipers. Major Yashin and his troop fight an invisible enemy. One by one he loses his best soldiers, but Yashin manages to kill the best sniper of the Third Reich, captain Karl Kleist, his sworn enemy. In 1942 Kleist killed Yashin’s battlefield friend, a woman he was in love with. Yashin takes revenge upon his girlfriend and discovers an underground manufactory of V-rockets that eventually saves the suburban Prussian town from a massive explosion. |
